This privacy policy ("Policy") describes the manner in which Dr. Kailas Nath K M, the individual operating the Service ("Developer", "We", "Us" or "Our") collects, uses, processes, discloses and protects personal data in connection with the use of the application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the service, the user ("User", "You" or "Your") acknowledges that they have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
The following data may be collected for the purpose of provision and operation of the Service; Creation, storage and management of prescriptions; Legal and regulatory compliance; Prevention of misuse and unauthorized activity; Service improvement and analytics :
• Name
• Email address
• Medical registration number
• Qualification and specialization
• Clinic details (name, address, phone)
• Phone number
• Subscription status and expiry date (for Pro users)
The Service may process sensitive personal data including:
• Prescription details (diagnosis, medicines, dosage, frequency)
• Diagnosis and consultation notes
• Patient information (name, age, gender, phone, patient ID)
Such data shall be processed in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) of India, where applicable. Sensitive data is encrypted on your device before transmission and stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Your signature image and clinic logo are saved in app storage on your device and used to generate prescriptions.
Personal data is collected directly from you when you create an account, set up your doctor profile, create prescriptions, or interact with the app. Prescription and patient data is entered by you into the app interface. Subscription status is collected through integration with Google Play Billing. Limited technical and usage data may be collected automatically to ensure app performance, security, and functionality.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data is used solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
Kavum relies on Firebase for authentication and encrypted prescription
storage, Firebase Cloud Functions for subscription verification with Google
Play, Google Sign-In for optional account access, Google Play Billing for
subscriptions, and AdMob may collect device identifiers and limited usage data to display non-personalized ads in accordance with Google’s policies. These services process data in accordance with their own
privacy policies.
We do not sell or share personal or patient data with AdMob or any other
third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Prescription and profile data are retained until you delete them or delete your account. Subscription status data is updated automatically when your subscription renews or expires. Deleting your account removes your doctor profile, prescriptions, and locally saved signature and logo files associated with the app.
Data may be processed and stored on secure servers provided by Firebase (Google), which may be located outside India.
In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) of India, users may:
• Access a summary of your personal data being processed.
• Request the correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request the erasure of your data.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.
The user can sign out or permanently delete their account and
all associated data. Android permission choices can be managed at any time
from Settings > Apps > Kavum > Permissions. To exercise further rights,

Sensitive data is encrypted on your device before transmission and stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Data is transmitted over HTTPS, and access controls ensure that each doctor can only access their own records.
Kavum is intended for use by licensed medical professionals and is not directed toward individuals under the age of 18.
Kavum is a documentation tool intended to assist healthcare professionals and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
By using Kavum, the user consents to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service. Your continued use of the Service after any changes to this Policy will be deemed acceptance of those changes.
